2020

Education

During the COVID-19 lockdown, I discovered that the founder and CEO of SheCodes, Matthieu Delac, was running a free Introduction to Coding course online. It would be just an hour of my time and I thought on a whim that I'd give it a go.

Funnily enough, I actually almost missed the session altogether but managed to make it in the nick of time and needless to say I've been hooked on coding ever since. Within the year I had completed SheCodes's entire library of courses; Basic, Plus, React and Responsive.

2021

Experience

Shortly after my studies and still utterly hooked on website development, I begged a good friend of mine to let me make his very first website for his new takeaway restaurant that was running out of the kitchen of the coffee shop I was working in at the time.

He gave me my shot and I end-to-end developed and released my first ever commercial website, Colombo 7 Cinnamon Gardens

Version 2.0 was released in March 2025.

2021-2024

Employment

At some point I followed my mum to Sussex and within 3 months landed my first ever job as a Junior Web Developer with UnitedUs, a small independent branding agency based in Brighton.

With Emil Pitts as my mentor, I co-developed many brilliant websites for UnitedUs including OKIN Facility, Rockinghorse and Brompton House and lead-developed a few too, see The Circle NGO, Lucky Khao and Number Twenty Four Estate Agents.

2025-present day

Evolution

I am now obviously a freelance web developer but fun fact: I also have a degree in Forensic Science.

Swapping DNA and GC/MS for HTML and CSS, I've laid my lab coat to rest and now code for new and pre-existing websites. If you're looking for help with either, then we should talk business.
